Week 26 (for 2 people)

Sunday June 26, 2016

Food Storage:
8 cans of meat
1 case powdered milk (click for online ordering)
For local pick up - 1 case will cost you $36
You can order your case on the "Items of the Month" form passed out at church and through email.
There are 12 pouches in a case, and each pouch will make you about 2 gallons of milk. Meaning each gallon of milk will end up costing you about $1.50! If you are mixing up individual portions, then 3 Tbsp mixed with 8 ounces of water will give you a full cup. To decrease the "chunky milk" issue, simply mix it WELL. I recommend using a "Blender Bottle" available at Walmart, Target, Bed, Bath & Beyond, etc.

Extra Item:
8 rolls of toilet paper
Composting garbage bags

Car Kit:
Your BASIC car kit is complete. Modify and personalize it. Some items might be coins/ money, a book for a long wait, candy or gum, a multi-tool, toilet paper or hand towels, a cell phone, OTC medications like aspirin, etc.

Family Preparedness:
To prepare for a thunderstorm, you should do the following: Remove dead or rotting trees and branches that could fall and cause injury or damage during a thunderstorm. Remember the 30/30 lightning safety rule: go indoors if, after seeing lightning, you can’t count to 30 before hearing thunder. Stay indoors for 30 minutes after hearing the last clap of thunder.

Spiritual Preparedness:

Read "Blessings for my ancestors, Blessings for me" by Kim Crenshaw Sorensen; August 2006 Ensign, p 34. Doing your family history is easier than ever before and can be done in your own home. Contact our ward family history consultants to learn more and get started. Who's in your family tree, waiting for their work to be done?
